Worldwide Mobile Payment Users to Reach 108.6 Million in 2010, according to Gartner
Mobile payment is still a niche, but a growing market.
Mobile payment is expected to register a strong growth in 2010 (+54.5%) to reach 108.6 million mobile payment users worldwide.
In Western Europe, mobile payment users will total 7.1 million which will represent around 2% of mobile users in this region.

According to Newzoo’s 2011 National Gamers Surveys, the majority of gamers are actively spending money on games, regardless of whichever country they reside in. Germany has the highest proportion of paying gamers at 66%, followed by Mexico (57%), Russia (53%) and the UK (52%).

In total, European Christmas sales are forecast to hit €313 billion in 2010, and €32 billion is expected to be spent online which will represent 10.3% of global sales during this holiday season.
